As the saying goes "practise makes perfect" so when I was thinking of a birthday present for a close friend, I thought I would whip up a cushion! I searched through my stock of fabrics (the fabric with the design of the girl riding the vespa, is from a designer on Etsy) and I then raced to a shop near by that has a nice selection of some exy fabrics, to purchase something pink to go with it.
A mix of fabric from indie designers and well known designers (Marimekko in this case) is a great way to create a gift that can create an impact.
