Updating a Sydney Apartment

After arriving back from my holiday in Europe in late June 2012, my time was quickly taken up with updating a fully furnished apartment in Sydney. Having a small budget to work with the space was reinvigorated and became a welcoming retreat from Sydney city life. The apartment, filled with antique and reclaimed furniture, was spruced up with new fabrics,  a fresh coat of paint was applied in the lounge, bedroom and bathroom, as well as some new homewares and accessories.

Lounge Room

Furniture was re-upholstered, and the paint colour of the room was freshened to ensure that nothing detracts from the wonderful Sydney Harbour and city views seen through the lounge room windows.

Bedroom

The bedroom's colour scheme was updated along with photos hung on the wall to compliment the bedspread colours, that brightens up the room.

Study

The study was refurbished, turning what is essentially a single bed into an attractive daybed with desk. New curtains were hung, and the chair was re-upholstered with fabric that was also made into cushions to give continuity to the room.
